Yoga Shreds are short, intense rounds of awesomeness that I work into longer workouts, or sequences that include both yoga poses/stretches and Shreds. Shreds are High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) moves and timing, with many built from yoga poses to keep yogis strong and toned on a whole new level.

Yoga activates slow and sometimes moderate muscle fibers, which will mostly give you the strength and endurance for holding poses longer. HIIT activates moderate and, importantly, fast-twitch muscle fibers. These are what lift, define and sculpt your muscles and give you big time strength gains.

HIIT is also fantastic for optimizing your cardio, or cardiovascular ability–the foundation of all health and metabolism function. It’s one of the best fat and calorie burning exercises out there, with an Afterburn Effect that keeps burning for 24-48 hours after you stop the Yoga Shred® class. Pretty cool!
